In space, astronauts on combat missions wear dark spacesuits to conceal themselves, using veils to cover the reflective glare of their glass visors, blending into the dark cosmic background. They may frequently navigate through the internal ducts or ruins of space stations, hence they are equipped with antennae-like sensors on their shoulders and carry primitive tools such as fire axes capable of breaching hatch doors. In emergency situations, these tools can also serve for defensive or confrontational tasks. As they were assigned to covert missions, they painted out their insignias and unit designations before departure.Inspired by these concepts, I designed a tactical astronaut character. Most of the design was completed in January 2017, and today, during the holiday, I made some minor refinements and adjustments.
